  Caring for underprivileged draftees’ families. Increase living support expenses by 39% during service

On January 18, 2024, the Ministry of the Interior promulgated an amendment to the Regulations for Implementing of Livelihood Support for Families of Draftees Serving in the Military in order to assist men who have experienced difficulties in their family livelihoods due to the fulfillment of their national obligations. The main purpose of this amendment is to raise the calculation benchmark of the settling-in allowance and living allowance from the current NTD 5130 to NTD 7130 , an increase of 39%. The number of beneficiaries is about 1180 households each year, taking care of the families of the draftees and that the families can support themselves and maintain their livelihood.
