Celebrating the 63rd military service press release of year 2006
¡@¡@Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of National Defense conducted the military service propagate and service render, to enhance the spirit and to inspire the morale of national citizens. T o promote the importance of national defense and national safety to all citizens, Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of National Defense scheduled a ¡§Year 2006 the 63rd military festival celebration assembly¡¨ on March 1st, 2006 (military festival) morning 10AM to 11Am at Taipei armed forces literature and art activities center drama room.
¡@¡@Government affairs vice- minister Yan, Wan-Jin and National defense vice- minister Ke, Cheng-Heng will be present to preside over the assembly and award ceremony, to praise the achievement of substitute serviceman needed institutions, the achievement of municipal/ county military unit, the achievement of section leader, the achievement of basic governmental unit, and those who have performed meritorious in processing substitute military services in various area of society.
¡@¡@The administration of military service is the foundation of national defense armament and is the primary work to cultivate armament strength. In recent year, national forces are armed with new generation weapon equipment and are urgently in need of professionals who are able possess, maintain, and operate high tech military machines, and of whom are willing to serve in the military a longer period. Therefore, upon the demand of military man power, the government is debating to increase the ratio of voluntary military man, and reduce the needs of compulsory military at the same time appropriately reduce compulsory military period.
¡@¡@At the 63rd military festival celebration ceremony government affairs vice- minister Yan, Wan-Jin encourage the entire conscription administrators to work together with one heart under the current conscription foundation, to make this system more effective. At the same time he suggests the following points:
¡@¡@1.Refine the knowledge capability, strengthen the concept of service: knowledge and life time learning is the trend to enter a new century, he hopes every fellow worker will continuously to improve ones professional knowledge, highly skilled in related laws, innovate the concept of work, and to serve the people.
¡@¡@2.Issue directing, to effectively enhance administration works. Following the trend of this new improving age, all information is open to public access, thus, more people are relying on the government. Although, administration work has already been through numerous reform, striving for improvement. However, the quality of people living improves; there are still problems that can not be resolved. For this reason, current administrator should adapt to issue directing regarding to draftee and his family¡¦s problem, and should assist to resolve their problem as soon as possible, and should take the criticism for further improvement to increase the effectiveness of administration works.
¡@¡@3.Team works, to achieve a new administrative appearance: a team¡¦s honor and image is very important to the public, strengthen crosswise communication is even more important. Wishing all level of administrators to have an innovating, a responsible, and continue to transform and strictly maintain team work spirit altitude to continuing to advance relative work, serve the people, to establish a better image on future conscription administration.
¡@¡@Hope through this activity, we can let vast social public and young draftee friends have a better understanding in substitute military service and national defense military occupation, and have a sense of acceptance and centripetal force towards the conscription system that the government imposed, and hope this will proceed to cohere to unite all people to advance national power.
